The Sri Sharadamba Temple, under the Sringeri Vidya Bharati Foundation (SVBF) South in Houston, Texas, is a Hindu temple dedicated to the spiritual traditions of Bharath. It is one of four centers in the USA dedicated to the Dakshinamnaya Sringeri Sharada Peetham, an institution founded by Saint Adi Shankara.

  • Monday-Friday: 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM and 5:30 PM – 9:00 PM.

Daily Schedule:
  • 8:30 AM: Guruvandanam, Ganapati Homa, Nitya Pooja, Chandramouleeswara & SriChakrra Abhishekam, Chandi Parayana.
  • 10:00 AM: Abhishekam of the Day (Deity varies by weekday).
  • 11:15 AM: Mahamangalarathi.
  • 6:00 PM: Lalita Sahasranama Parayana (Friday: Namavali) followed by Archana & Aarti.
  • 7:45 PM: Sri Sharadamba Pooja, Lalita Trishati, Astottara Archana, Mahamangalarthi.
  • 9:00 PM: Closure. 
Other Services:

  • Akshara Abhyasa: A traditional ceremony for initiating children into education, held at 10:30 AM on specific days.

Note: The temple is well-regarded for its peaceful atmosphere and beautiful architecture. Visitors are asked to show respect for the temple customs, including removing shoes before entering. There may be road construction in the area, which may require taking a detour.
