In 1997, the temple acquired 5 acres of land in Summerlin, and construction began in 2000, finishing in 2001 with a grand opening celebration. The event, led by then-chairman Ranjit Jain, included Murthi Sthapana (placing of deities) services and was attended by over 600 community members and local officials.
