Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple is the first Murugan temple if New Jersey and it was formed to provide a place for worship and cultural activities, and to unite the people in devotion, belief, and culture. The Vel (Divine spear) is considered as an embodiment of Lord Murugan and is said to guide the devotees on a righteous path.
The original Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple is a famous Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Murugan, located in the town of Palani in the Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu. It is one of the Six Abodes of Murugan (Arupadai Veedu) and is situated atop a hill called Sivagiri.
The temple wants to create a platform to promote our heritage; and propagate our culture to the next generation.
