Navagraha Temple Austin Navagraha Temple Austin
The Navagraha Temple in Austin, Texas, is part of the Austin Hindu Temple.
The Navagraha Temple houses deities representing the nine planets (Navagrahas) in Hindu astrology. Worshipping the Navagrahas is believed to appease the planets and mitigate their negative effects. You can perform practices like pouring til oil over the idol of Shani (Saturn) on Saturdays next to the Navagraha shrine.  You should however remember that many Navagraha temples in USA don’t allow pouring oil on deities.
