Shree Swaminarayan Hindu Mandir (Vadtal Sansthan) Dallas was originally a church. The church property had roughly 19,000 sq. feet and sat on 1.75 acres. After the initial renovation was complete, the MurtiPratisthaMahostav was held on July 4th, 1991.
- Location: Situated in Grand Prairie, TX, this Mandir was established in 1991, making it the first Swaminarayan Mandir in the USA.
- Association with Vadtal Sansthan: This Mandir is affiliated with the Vadtal diocese (Laxminarayandev Gadi) in Gujarat, India.
- Deities: The central shrine holds the murti (sacred image) of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj, installed by Acharaya Maharajshree Ajendraprasadji of the Vadtal diocese. It also houses murtis of other Hindu deities like Shree LaxmiNarayan Dev, Shree NarNarayan Dev, and Shree Radha Krishna Dev.
- Cultural Center: The Mandir has facilities for cultural centers and accommodations for visitors like Acharyas, saints, and devotees.
- Purpose: The Corporation, which oversees this Mandir, is dedicated to advancing the Swaminarayan sect of the Hindu religion based on Lord Shree Sahajanand Swami’s teachings.
