This temple belongs to Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan branch of Swaminarayan Sampraday. This temple was established in its initial form by Acharya Swamishree in 1995 and this was later expanded.

Temple Information

History

  • Spiritual guidance: The establishment of the temple in New Jersey was initiated by Swami Muktajeevan, the spiritual leader of the Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan, who visited the U.S. in the 1970s.
  • Incorporation: Following his guidance, a board of trustees was incorporated in May 1988.
  • Construction: Groundbreaking for the temple took place on August 29, 1998, with sacred images installed in 2001. The temple was built “from scratch” on land purchased in 1997.

The temple serves as a spiritual and community hub, hosting various activities and events for devotees and the public:
  • Worship: A serene atmosphere is maintained for the worship of Lord Shree Swaminarayan, Jeevanpran Shree Abji Bapashree, and Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa.
  • Cultural hall: The temple features a hall that can accommodate up to 500 guests for community gatherings and festival celebrations.
  • Community gatherings: The temple organizes picnics, discourses, and other gatherings for all age groups.
  • Festivals: Major Hindu festivals are celebrated at the temple, including its annual anniversary (Patotsav)
