Established in 1977, Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago is one of the oldest Hindu temple in Chicago area.
The temple’s purpose is to maintain Hindu religious traditions in worship, promote cultural traditions and interfaith interactions. It also has a statue and a center dedicated to Swami Vivekananda who was one the first hindu monks to travel to America more than a century back.
This temple serves devotees from multiple states around Illinois and Chicago region.
